George Zimmerman was involved in yet another Florida shooting earlier this morning, Lake Mary Police confirm.

Officer Bianca Gillet held a news conference this morning detailing how local authorities responded to a call from Matthew Apperson, who claimed to be involved in a road rage incident with the 31-year-old.

Strangely enough, Apperson was also involved in another violent ordeal with Zimmerman last September and told police at the time that the former neighborhood watch volunteer threatened to kill him during a confrontation in their respective cars.

Today's incident, however, involved a gun fight between the two. According to Zimmerman's attorney, Don West, his "injuries would be considered minor."

"The bullet missed his head. I think it broke a window and lodged in his vehicle."

Police confirmed that Zimmerman was not seriously injured in the scuffle and that the bullet missed his head.

West also explained to reporters that Zimmerman believes that he knew who was responsible for the shooting and is working with authorities to resolve the matter.

Back in 2013, one year after the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, Zimmerman was acquitted of second-degree murder as well as manslaughter.

Zimmerman maintained that he shot the unarmed teen in self-defense, however, the jury's ruling sparked a national debate and protests demanding justice for Martin's death.
