Sean Penn is ready for a brand-new view.

More than five years after purchasing his 3,200 square-foot mansion in Malibu, the actor has decided to put the home up for sale.

Sitting on 1.42 acres of land by the sea, the property features plenty of space for a family or single homeowner with five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. It also could be perfect for someone who loves to celebrate.

"This home is surrounded by lush gardens and includes a detached guest house, making it a great spot to entertain," Redfin real estate agent Alec Traub told E! News. "It's cool and classy, just like the actor." How could anyone resist?!

Located in a gated community on a private cul-de-sac, the single story home also includes a very private detached guest house and a maids/office that is adjacent to the garage.

For the exterior, the lucky resident or residents can enjoy luscious plants, rose gardens and classic brick work. "Penn's home was built in the 60s and has a mid-century modern vibe, with exposed brick and wood-beamed ceilings," Traub explained to E! News.

Before you get too excited at the stunning home, it would probably be good to find out the price. As it turns out, Penn could score some serious money for his next property once this sale goes through.

"Penn purchased the home in 2009 for $3.8 million, and it's now listed for $6.55 million," Traub revealed. "So he stands to make a lot from the sale." So, who's ready to place an offer?
