We've asked Keija Minor, editor in chief at Brides (you've met her before!), to be our guest writer for Bridal Fashion Week, which kicked off April 15 in New York City. Keep reading as Keija breaks down the biggest trends and most stunning looks of the spring 2016 collections.

Day two was a marathon, a matter of stamina and perseverance, a two-Mophie day, starting with Naeem Khan at 11 in the morning and ending with Carolina Herrera at 7 that night. Still running on adrenaline from the Brides party on Thursday, I checked out nine new collections (whew). Here are the highlights:

Naeem Khan
Naeem Khan brought the glamour, as he always does, with his trademark embroidery, just the right amount of sparkle and killer accessories. Check the gloves! Love them and want to wear them on a random weekday this spring.

Reem Acra
Sheer ball gowns once again took center stage at Reem Acra. Strategically embroidered lace on illusion tops created seriously plunging necklines and provided the best of both worlds: Enough coverage to dance in and enough hotness to make a bride feel like the sexiest woman in the room.

Monique Lhuillier
No one does romance like Monique! She wrapped layers of tulle into asymmetrical tiers, affixed it to the sides and back of a lace column and layered it into a simple ball skirt with a nude underlay to give the suggestion of skin while protecting against any unfortunate wardrobe malfunctions. After all, a Monique bride is always a lady.

Mira Zwillinger
Striking a balance between the romantic and the sexy—meaning showing skin and covering up—Mira, a relative newcomer, offered her fresh, original take on bridal. (The narrow ultra-sheer stripes right down the front of some gowns were teasing in the best possible way.) She's officially a new favorite, and definitely one to watch.

Carolina Herrera
Inspired by the white jasmine, her favorite flower, Carolina Herrera sent out a series of gowns that brought to mind a dreamy secret garden wedding, with embroidered cascading blooms, floral lace and plenty of feathers! You know if Mrs. Herrera is rocking feathers, they are officially in.

Is there any way to top yesterday? We'll have to see what today's roster of shows brings!
