Porsha, Porsha, Porsha!

The only character equally as fabulous as the fabulous Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) on Fox's breakout drama Empire? Her loyal and hilarious assistant Porsha, of course. And trust us when we say the creative forces behind Empire, Danny Strong and Lee Daniels, are well aware they struck TV casting gold when they found Ta'Rhonda Jones.

During a conference call with reporters on Thursday, Strong was asked which character on the show he'd love to see get their own spinoff, and without hesitation, the co-creator and  executive producer said, "Don't you think Porsha?!"

YAS.

Strong then explained, "Because she is a comic genius...she's hilarious." Of course, he's talking about scene-stealer Ta'Rhonda Jones, who has made the character of Cookie's sidekicks one of Empire's most standout personalities. Which makes this next nugget of information even crazier, given that she's acting in scenes with Oscar nominees: "I believe it's her first acting job," Strong revealed.

And Strong, who Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans know as Jonathan, Buffy's former Sunnydale High classmate-turned-nemesis, even had a quick pitch for the spinoff of our dreams.

"Maybe it could be a buddy cop show and I could play her sidekick!" Porsha + Jonathan = TV dream team.

Empire's finale airs next Wednesday at 8 p.m. on Fox. Make sure to check back with us leading up to the epic two-hour finale for scoop from Strong, Daniels and the cast!
