What would you pay for a bag of air from a Kanye West concert?
No, this is not a joke. People have begun to sell on eBay what they claim are sealed bags of air collected at shows from the hip-hop star's 2013 and 2014 Yeezus Tour. One listing, which was posted by a person in Pennsylvania earlier this week and which has since been removed, had the bidding price up to $60,100, with 90 bids made. Shipping? Just $3.58.
"Held bag open and sealed air in," the description read.
West has not commented. But wife Kim Kardashian was quite amused.
"WOW he can sell anything! Lol," she tweeted.
Obviously, it would be very difficult to prove that people are actually selling—and bidding on—real air from West's concerts. But at least 15 such auctions have since been listed this week.
Another high-price auction of a West show air bag remains online as of Saturday morning, with a bid of $10,100 and five bids so far.
"Front row air!!!" the description reads.
One person is auctioning off what is described as air, "plus some sweat," from the front row of a West concert, for $100.
Another is selling a bag of air from a VIP section of a Yeezus Tour show at Barclay's Center in New York City, for a starting bid of 99 cents and with free shipping, and adds, "I have a bunch of these from different shows of all the artists I love. It's just something I do. I didn't know others did as well!"
That person is also offering for sale bags of air from
One of them gets super gross; Also for a starting bid of 99 cents and with free shipping, the seller is offering what is described as a bag of "flatulence (gas) from Kanye."
"Air from the concert back in December 17th at the United Center [in Chicago]," the description reads. "This is part of history here. Don't let this pass by. Listing is final, no refunds."
