Say it ain't so!
Last week, he gained a daughter. Tonight, Jamal is apparently losing a boyfriend.
After Raven-Symoné showed up to give Jamal (Jussie Smollett) the surprise of his life – the fact that he's the father of her daughter, Lola – Jamal's boyfriend, Michael (Rafael de La Fuente), seems to have reached the end of his rope.
In the clip above, Jamal runs outside to find Michael packing boxes into the car, and things get both very heated and very sad as Michael confronts Jamal about how little room there is for him in his life, especially now that he's got a daughter to worry about.
"It's better to end this now before I have to walk out on you and a kid," Michael says, and Jamal shoots back with this gem, "That kid can't be mine. I only slept with that girl once."
Oh Jamal, that's not how that works.
"I love you, but you're in love with your music," Michael says, regardless of Jamal's misunderstanding of reproductive biology, and if you listen carefully, you can hear hearts shattering into a million pieces.
At least Andre and Rhonda are still going strong, right?
