Spend Valentine's Day with your ex? Sure, why not?

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin may have had a "conscious uncoupling" nearly a year ago, but the famous friendly exes have proven time and time again that their split is nothing but amicable by continuing to spend a good amount of time together—including one lovey-dovey holiday.

A source tells E! News the duo spent two hours together on the beach in Malibu on Saturday with their kids Moses, 8, and Apple, 10. And while some may hope that this means a reconciliation is on the way, that doesn't seem to be the case.

The insider adds that their time together "was nothing romantic from what it seemed, just surf lessons for the kids."

Meanwhile, Martin's rumored girlfriend Jennifer Lawrence has been lying low in Boston, where she's preparing to start shooting a new film.

Paltrow and Martin's family reunion comes shortly after the blond star dropped some interesting information about their relationship.

In the latest issue of Marie Claire Australia, the 42-year-old actress reveals she and the Coldplay rocker began their "conscious uncoupling" back in 2012 when she was filming Mortdecai with Johnny Depp. The Oscar winner also recalls asking her co-star and pal for breakup advice.

"Nobody knew what Chris and I had been going through, so I didn't say, ‘Hey, this is what's happening,' but I did ask him mostly children-centric questions, like, ‘How is it on them?' and ‘How did you do it?'" Paltrow told the mag.

She added, "We've worked really f--king hard to get to [this] point. But we're very, very close, and it's so nice. I feel like it's, in a way, the relationship we were meant to have."
