She was supposed to spend this Sunday as Miss Golden Globes, handing out statues to Hollywood elite and thus completing a rite of passage for celebrity spawn. Now, with the whole thing being canceled, how will she cope? Will the honor carry over to 2009 like Spielberg's lifetime achievement award? Only time and an official press statement will tell.
At least Rumer has the swag suites to console her, as pictured above at the Think PR Pre-Sundance Lounge at Whiskey Blue at the W L.A. Under different circumstances, we might have made fun of her for taking advantage of the gifting suites (which hand out free loot to celebrities) or for wearing that hat and maybe even that jacket. But not today.
You go ahead and sweep up as many free goodies as you can and pose it up for those flashbulbs. Just don't let 'em see you cry.
