New year, new hairstyle!
Actress Raven-Symoné made a BIG fashion statement Tuesday night when she stepped out for the Empire premiere in Hollywood.
As she walked the red carpet in a floral jumpsuit with a black backpack and pink pumps, the 29-year-old actress automatically turned heads thanks to her bleached blonde hair color.
"I was bored with black, brown long hair that everyone has on TV," she explained to E! News when asked about her new cut. "So I shaved it off and dyed it a weird-ass color."
Her words, not ours, folks!
In her defense, the talented actress isn't exactly a stranger to changing up her signature locks.
Just last summer, the former Disney darling ditched her dark shade in favor of a candy-colored hue. "My last Friday in LA before I start my life as a #oncampus student!" she shared on Instagram. "New hair for a new life #Hellyea."
Just a few months later, Symoné explored another color palette by dying her hair peach. "Yes, peach for the holidays… #Unicorn #5theelement #Holidaypumpkin," she captioned online.
Until she switches it up again, Symoné is going to keep rocking her style while teasing fans about her promising new TV gig.
Although she couldn't share too many details about her secret role in Empire (premiering tonight on FOX), the actress revealed she's having quite the positive experience. After all, she got out of TV "retirement" to star alongside Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson. Not a bad job, right?
