People are itching to see The Interview ever since Sony pulled the plug on its release, and while the Treehouse Theater in New York City isn't showing it, they are giving people the opportunity to find out what happens!

In response to Sony's decision, the theater has announced on its website that it will put on a live read of the banned movie's screenplay on Dec. 27, just two days after the movie was set to be released. Fortunately for Seth Rogen and James Franco fans everywhere, theatergoers will be able to hear the satire courtesy of three comedians from the Upright Citizens Brigade.

The producers behind the live read are Dave Hensley, Sean Perrotta, and Benny Scheckner.

"In the wake of recent events surrounding the controversial film The Interview, the feeling that a threat to free speech has been imposed is inescapable and terrifying," the statement reads. "In response to this, three comedians have acquired a draft of the script for the banned film and are producing a live-read at the Treehouse Theater on Saturday, December 27th at 7pm."

The statement continues, "Featuring some of the finest performers from the Upright Citizen's Brigade theater, this is an opportunity for people to come together in the name of free speech, in defiance of all who have threatened it."

It will be free because it is "as much a political statement as a theatrical event," the statement continues.

Treehouse isn't the only group who thought the decision to cancel the movie was a poor one. President Barack Obama called it a "mistake" and A-listers slammed the studio's decision. George Clooney was particularly peeved by Sony's decision, telling Deadline that it was an "act of terrorism."

Jimmy KimmelRob Lowe and Aaron Sorkin were also among the Hollywood elite who criticized Sony's move.
