Gwyneth Paltrow may be a multi-hyphenate, but apparently her diverse résumé wasn't quite good enough for Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer.

In a lengthy New York Times piece, shots were fired at the Goop creator for her lack of a college education.

The paper claims that Mayer rejected the idea of having the Oscar winner step in as a Yahoo Food contributing editor upon learning that she didn't have a degree.

"Even though the actress Gwyneth Paltrow had created a best-selling cookbook and popular lifestyle blog, Mayer, who habitually asked deputies where they attended college, balked at hiring her as a contributing editor for Yahoo Food," the Times wrote.

"According to one executive, Mayer disapproved of the fact that Paltrow did not graduate college."

To Paltrow's credit, she did in fact attend college, at the University of California at Santa Barbara in order to study anthropology. She later dropped out to pursue an acting career, a move which clearly paid off in dividends.

Yahoo had no comment on the scandalous article, but Paltrow's rep tells E! News that the lifestyle guru "never met with anyone from Yahoo about the possibility of working together." So there you have it!

During an interview earlier this fall with Jimmy Kimmel, Paltrow admitted that her childhood school days were anything but traditional.

"It was great, but I didn't learn anything," she admitted to the late-night talk show host when asked about her elementary school in Los Angeles.

"We used to mediate in the mornings. We had one teacher who was really into 'Sexual Healing' by Marvin Gaye. So in the fifth grade we came in to that and we would dance." Sounds like a good time!
