President discusses immigration with the faux conservative

What happens when a democratic president interviews with a faux staunch conservative? A lot of hilarity, that's for sure.

President Barack Obama stopped by The Colbert Report to talk with Stephen Colbert about the hot button issue of immigration, and the host didn't start out lightly. Diving right into the topics at hand, Colbert asked the president, "Well, let's talk about all the jobs out there and how many of them will be taken by all of the immigrants you're going to keep in this country."

Unable to contain his laughter, Obama just listened to Colbert's monologue until the host bestowed him with an unexpected title—perhaps larger than his already honorable moniker.

"You realize you're an emperor now. It has been declared. You are Baracus Maximus I. I'm a Christian would you like to throw me to the lions? I would be delicious," Colbert joked.

Finally able to get a word in, Obama tries to explain to the unrelenting right-winger that everything he has done has been "unscrupulously" within the law. But the host wasn't having it. Sticking with his Roman Empire theme, Colbert tells the president that it doesn't seem like he's following the process as former presidents did.

"This is just you saying, 'I declare,'" Colbert quipped.

"Actually, what happened, Stephen, was that Congress passed laws and then Congress deliberately left out some things the president wanted but they still thought it was the right thing to do," Obama explained.

Clearly not getting his metaphor across, Colbert tries to change up his analogy in order to get the president to fold.

"Laws are like jazz, it's the parts you don't pass," the host said.

Despite being elected president and attending Ivy League schools, Obama just couldn't understand what the heck the Comedy Central star was talking about.

"You went from the sort of Caesar metaphor to the jazz metaphor, and I got all confused, so we're going to bring it back to immigration," said Obama, finally taking control of the interview.
