Calling all shoe queens! Repeat: Calling all shoe queens!

Kate Bosworth is known for her sleek minimalist style, and now the star has translated some of that effortless chic into a new shoe collection with the brand Matisse. Kate's collection will be available in Spring 2015 with 10 different styles of boots, clogs, sandals and mules. Sartorial aspirations aside, the star has a busy year ahead of her with two films on deck alongside some major Hollywood heavyweights.

E! News caught up with the actress to get the scoop on her new collaboration, must-have beauty staples and holiday wishes for the season. Here's what she shared:

Why did you decide to collaborate with Matisse? How did the partnership come about?
We were introduced by a mutual friend and felt we would work well together. All collaborations I have been involved with started organically. There must be a common goal in mind to understand and appreciate the person we are designing for. Matisse is incredibly successful at understanding their customer but was looking for someone to bring a different perspective at a slightly higher price point. I felt I could help them achieve this vision.

Tell us about the style of the collection.
I have always been attracted to fashion that is transitional, meaning designs that carry a woman from season to season, from day to night. That was a significant part of the thought process for this collection. I wanted to think about footwear that is directional and also comfortable. This is also very much in line with the Matisse customer: You can wear the "Charlotte" star boots with jeans for a more casual, classical approach or pair them with a skirt or dress for a trendier look.

I feel footwear should be able to transcend one look—it should also be functional in a sense that a woman can wear a style in many different ways. This is the type of footwear that exists in my own wardrobe, items that I feel confident investing in.

Where do you get your inspiration for designing?
I find inspiration in many things—from art, to film, to what is relevant in fashion currently or what I would like to see come back around. And from my own life experiences. One of my favorite artists is Ed Ruscha. His "HOT SHOT" piece became my main inspiration for the "Hoyt" Boot. When I was very little, I was obsessed with collecting unique rocks and stones and this was the inspiration behind the "Wonderland" slide. The "Chadwick" and "Dawn" styles were a nod to my Blue Crush days.

What has been the greatest highlight for you in 2014?
I'm feeling blessed with so much work! I just wrapped two films back to back: Life on the Line with John Travolta and Bus 657 with Robert De Niro. It doesn't get better than these greats and I felt fortunate for every moment to learn from them.

What three beauty items are always in your purse?
NUXE Rêve de Miel lip balm, RMS Lip2cheek stain and Clé de Peau Beauté concealer stick.

Which workout do you love at the moment?
Depending on my schedule, I try and exercise three times a week for about 30 to 45 minutes in circuit training style. I mix up cardio, jump rope, boxing and using my own body weight for strengthening (pushups, plank, etc.). The New York Times 7-Minute scientific work out app is great for limited time but effective!

What are your travel must-haves?
I really love [carrying] the Epicuren Colostrum Hydrating Mist when I travel. It's so hydrating and easily applicable. It's also a great product to apply lightly over makeup to keep it from drying out.

Is there anything on your wish list for the holidays?
Honestly, I am just thrilled to be at home with my family. Health and happiness.
