It must be a Cyber Monday miracle—Girl Scout Cookies are now available for purchase online!

Yes, at long last, you can purchase your Thin Mints, Samoas, Do-si-Dos and beyond on the Internet through the organization's newly approved "Digital Cookie" program.

In the past, Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. preferred to keep its sales offline, encouraging individual scouts to set up booths and go door-to-door. Now, though, the "Digital Cookie" is upping the ante when it comes cashing in on these time-honored treats..

"Girls across the country now can use modern tools to expand the size and scope of their cookie business and learn vital entrepreneurial lessons in online marketing, application use and e-commerce,"  Sarah Angel-Johnson, who directs the digital cookie effort, told the New York Times.

Per GirlScouts.org, the scouts themselves must still initiate each cookie sale. Girls can market their online cookie business by inviting customers to their personalized websites, while others will take in-person cookie orders through a Girl Scouts mobile app.  Customers will pay by credit card with the option of having their cookies shipped or delivered by a Girl Scout.

Some Scouts, like 13-year-old Bria Vainqueur, are planning to use traditional sales methods in addition to the new online options. "I love going around my neighborhood, my parents' jobs and my grandfather's job," she told the Times. "I've been selling cookies since I joined scouting when I was 6, including setting up a booth at our local Stop & Shop."

"But the digital option is going to make it easier to reach a lot more people," she added, "and to take and keep track of their orders."

Because Digital Cookie is newly launched, not all Girl Scouts markets are participating just yet (see the list of participating regions). If Digital Cookie isn't available in your area yet, fret not! According to the organization's website, more areas and more girls will be participating as the program continues to grow.
