Hugh Laurie is in the Veep house. See what we did there? E! News can confirm the House star will appear in the upcoming fourth season of the hit HBO comedy starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

When viewers last saw Selina Meyer, she had ascended from vice president to president after her POTUS stepped down to attend to his wife's mental state following a suicide attempt. The character was already in the process of running for president.

Details about Laurie's role are being kept under wraps.

Laurie spent eight seasons as the title character on Fox's House. For his role as the cantankerous doctor he won two Golden Globes and was nominated for six Emmys. In addition to his House work, Laurie is known for his voiceover work and teamed with Stephen Fry for Fry and Laurie, the comedy duo behind Jeeves and Wooster and A Bit of Fry and Laurie. This marks Laurie's first scripted TV role since House ended in 2012.

The cast of Veep also included Tony Hale, Reid Scott, Anna Chlumsky, Matt Walsh, Timothy Simons, Sufe Bradshaw, Kevin Dunn, Gary Cole and Sam Richardson. Past guest stars include Jessica St. Clair, Kate Burton, Christopher Meloni and Kathy Najimy. Hale took home an Emmy in 2013 for playing Gary, Selina's bagman and Louis-Dreyfus has won the award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series three years in a row.
