Dancing to the Jailhouse Rock?

The King’s onetime queen may be slipping into her blue suede shoes for Dancing with the Stars.

I just got word that Priscilla Presley has signed on, or is close to signing on, to compete in the next season of ABC’s hit dance competition show.

I kid you not.

Nothing's official just yet, but if Ms. Presley goes through with it, the 62-year-old grandmother and former wife of the late Elvis Presley will become the oldest woman to compete on the show. Jane Seymour competed last season at age 56.

The oldest man to do some waltzing is George Hamilton, who gave it a try at age 66 in season two.

I’m told Hamilton’s former Dynasty costar Joan Collins was in talks for some time with Dancing producers, but a deal was never made. Collins is 74!

A rep for the show said she "can't confirm or deny casting rumors for the show." Presley's rep said Presley stated she is not "confirmed to do Dancing." The rep could not confirm nor deny that Presley has been in talks with producers.
