Talk about a night to remember!
During Garth Brooks' Friday night concert at the Target Center in Minneapolis, the 52-year-old country star stopped mid-concert to share a special moment with a fan suffering from cancer.
Teresa Shaw, an Iowa woman who has been fighting stage 3 breast cancer since June, caught Brooks' attention from the audience with a sign she made that read, "Chemo this morning, Garth tonight. Enjoy the dance." While performing his hit "The Dance," Brooks made his way over to Shaw to personally serenade her from the stage.
"The next thing I knew, another usher was coming up to me and were like, 'Follow us.' And they took me to the very front, right in front of him," Shaw told a local news station.

? Garth Brooks (@garthbrooks) November 11, 2014Brooks gave Shaw a hug and a kiss and told her, "You have all my strength, you have everybody's strength in here, and you go kick cancer's ass!" But that's not all. He also gifted Shaw with the guitar he was playing during the concert.
"I was just hoping he would see [the sign] and maybe if I could get him to get it signed," Shaw said. "To give away something like that is just remarkable, and now if I ever have a bad day, I can always go look at his guitar and get inspiration." So sweet!
Brooks is also making an effort to reach fans all over the world on a more personal level through Facebook and Twitter. The music star announced he joined Twitter this morning by tweeting, "Ready to make some #FriendsInNewPlaces -love, g." He also joined Facebook and shared a special video message with fans.
