It's Wednesday, aka American Horror Story day, meaning we're writing to you from the closet where the clown can't interrupt us as we switch back and forth between SVU and Arrow. While we deal with the resulting emotional confusion, take a look at tonight's Rants and Raves!

RAVE: Law & Order: SVU: Peter Gallagher, you and your eyebrows are most welcome on SVU. We hate and love that you didn't cut Benson any slack during this big case. Just know you're on notice. And we can we take a minute and talk about Kelli Giddish's performance as Rollins because it should definitely be noted. She even had us believing she wanted that gunman!

RANT: AHS: Freak Show: That horrifying thing under Twisty's mask? NOPE. Nope nope. Nope. See how it ranks in our gallery of AHS' most shocking moments!

RANT: Arrow: We had apparently forced ourselves to forget about Sara's death, because when Ollie, Felicity, and Roy saw her lying on the table, we too felt like we were finding out about it for the first time. It still hurt just as much.

RAVE: Arrow: Despite the death, everything else tonight was marvelous: Laurel's sort of scary journey into badassery, Tommy showing up in flashbacks, Felicity's emotional pleas to Ollie, and Thea learning how to fight from her father.

ABC

RAVE: Modern Family: A+ physical comedy tonight as Phil got into a fight with some angry body spray. Plus, it was fun (and refreshing) to watch Jay give the typical dad-to-boyfriend talk to Manny's girlfriend, even if it got a little weird when he told an 18 year old girl he "has his eye on her."

RAVE: Nashville: We're just going to ignore that heartbreaking confrontation between Avery and Juliette and focus on the fact that Laura Benanti should be on every show ever. This is fact.

RAVE: Survivor: We had Big Brother flashbacks with all of Drew's talk of an all-girls alliance, but this time it backfired on the guys. The girls were inspired by the rumors to actually start an alliance, and their 4 votes were enough to send Drew packing. Yay for irony!

RAVE: Red Band Society: Love triangles, redemption stories, and Dr. Hotpants are all well and good, but this week, the tears came from the flashbacks telling us Charlie's story, including the fact that Leo and Charlie once met up in coma land. Nurse Jackson is the badass we all need to have on our side.

RANT: The Goldbergs: We love Halloween specials – especially Toy Story and Charlie Brown Halloween specials – but we also love new episodes of The Goldbergs. We're conflicted.

What did you watch tonight? Rant and rave with us in the comments!
