Yes, Mindy kissed someone other than her BF in tonight's episode of The Mindy Project, but don't panic! It's all a misunderstanding of hilariously epic proportions.
The non-Danny-shaped person Mindy locked lips with? Dr. Jean Fishman, played by guest star Niecy Nash! We've got the exclusive photos of the duo's surprising liplock.
So how'd the kiss happen?
After getting off on the wrong foot with Dr. Fishman, the new hospital administrator, Mindy attempts to smooth things over by taking her out for a "girl's night." Dr. Fishman, however, thinks their outing was more of a date night, and opts to say goodnight with a kiss.
That kiss, however, is actually just the beginning of quite a saga. Dr. Fishman starts to go a little easier on her new employees after her kiss with Mindy, and despite Danny's protests, Mindy goes along with it. When she finally tells her new boss the truth, the confession is overheard by Dr. Fishman's wife!
In order to keep a marriage — and the practice — in tact, Mindy convinces Danny to pretend to be incredibly, drunkenly upset about her brief transgression. All it took was a grey tank top, some tousled hair, a botle of wine, and a glorious speech before all was well. Our love for Danny Castellano has never been stronger, but if things were different, Dr. Jean Fishman ain't half bad, either.
