Things continue to go downhill for Stephen Collins.

E! News has confirmed that the actor has been dropped by his Beverly Hills-based talent agency following the child molestation allegations. A rep for Agency of the Performing Arts, who has represented Collins for the past five years, tells us, "We have cut ties with Mr. Collins."

The news comes less than a week after the celeb, best known for his role as Reverend Eric Camden on 7th Heaven, allegedly confessed to molesting young girls on multiple occasions. In an audiotape obtained by TMZ, the 67-year-old actor is heard recalling past incidents with a therapist and his ex, actress Faye Grant, with whom he's in the midst of divorcing.

The New York Police Department confirmed to E! News that a complaint has been filed against Collins and that the Manhattan Special Victims Unit is currently investigating the case.

Since the allegations surfaced, Collins will no longer appear in the upcoming sequel to the hit 2012 comedy Ted, a production source confirmed to E! News. Although Collins did not appear in the first flick, he had a small role in Ted 2. His part has since been cut. He was also supposed to appear in the current season of Scandal, but E! News has learned that his scenes will no longer air on the drama series. Additionally, all 7th Heaven reruns have been pulled from UP TV's schedule.

Collins also resigned from his position on the National Board of the Screen Actors Guild, Chief Communications and Marketing Officer Pamela Greenwalt recently confirmed to E! News.

In addition to his previous Scandal and 7th Heaven work, Collins' TV credits also include Revolution, Devious Maids and Private Practice.

The Hollywood Reporter was first to report the story.
