Lena Dunham's boyfriend Jack Antonoff is used to the Girls star changing up her hair color and styles.

So it's no wonder the singer is digging her new platinum blond bowl cut. "He's really supportive of all my weird hair whams," Dunham told me on the Emmys red carpet. "He's been very kind about it."

But he's also been quite mischievous. "He kept doing weird tests to see if I've gotten stupider once my hair was blonde, like he was trying to get me to add quickly," Dunham said. "But I'm OK because I could never do math to begin with."

As for her pink and red tulle Emmy gown by Giambattista Valli that has caused lots of chatter, Dunham gushed, "I felt like it was from Candy Land. This was like a real fourth-grade fantasy, only it's done by a serious couture designer."

Dunham recently revealed the big hair change on Instagram where she simply captioned the selfie, "change is good."

And if for some reason you think the hair's not real, Dunham also told E! News yesterday, "It is not a wig. I bleached it last week after I finished the show. I always like to do something—I always have kind of a bad hairstyle as Hannah, so it's nice to kinda chop it off or do something that shows me I'm a real woman."
