It seems that Olivia Wilde is determined to end any breastfeeding stigma.
Following the release of the star's photo shoot for Glamour magazine, which is inevitably controversial seeing as how the new mom is nursing her naked son with her right breast exposed, the 30-year-old beauty took to Twitter to seemingly addressed the foreseeable backlash with a cheeky tweet in her signature humorous fashion.
"Otis ordered milkshakes. Luckily I had some on me. Then he peed on my dress. Good kid. #boobfood #whennaturecalls," Jason Sudeikis' fiancée captioned the breastfeeding pic, proving she's clearly proud of the photo.
Despite her amusing post, the thesp got serious in her subsequent tweet and applauded Glamour magazine for publishing the pics.
"Thanks @glamourmag for knowing there's nothing indecent about feeding a hungry baby," she wrote.
Inside the issue, Wilde opened up about her reasoning behind the breastfeeding shoot, explaining how motherhood is now a crucial part of her "identity."
"Being shot with Otis is so perfect because any portrait of me right now isn't complete without my identity as a mother being a part of that. Breastfeeding is the most natural thing," the brunette stunner said of the pic. "I don't know. Now it feels like Otis should always be on my breast. It felt like we were capturing that multifaceted woman we've been discussing—that we know we can be. You can be someone who is at once maternal and professional and sexy and self-possessed."
Wilde, who sported a Roberto Cavalli dress and Prada heels for the shot, also admitted that she doesn't look nearly as glamourous while nursing in real life.
"I certainly don't really look like that when I'm [typically] breast-feeding," she confessed. "And there's usually a diaper involved."
The Tron:Legacy star certainly isn't the first celeb to share a breastfeeding pic. In June, Jaime King posted a shot in which she's nursing her son while addressing the sometimes negative stigma surrounding the touchy subject.
"These are the moments a mother lives for," the ex-model wrote in the photo caption. "Breastfeeding should not be taboo—and bottle feeding should not be judged—it's ALL fun for the whole family."
