If Taylor Swift can make her fans' day by just repeatedly pushing the button for the 18th floor in an elevator and posting the video on Instagram, think of how this 6-year-old boy felt when the country-pop superstar paid him a personal visit in the hospital for a few hours.
Jordan Nickerson, who has been battling leukemia, was treated yesterday to a personalized acoustic set and some quality time with Taylor at Boston Children's Hospital.
"I love singing songs for people, but I want to sing a song for you more than all the other people," Taylor promised him. And when he sweetly encouraged her to "just do it!" she asked him which tune in particular he wanted to hear.
Jordan then requested the "'Oh' song," so that took a second to figure out
Asked what else she likes to do, the 24-year-old star said, "I like to play with Play-Doh and I like to talk about Spider-Man, I don't know about you. Do you like Spider-Man?"
You get one guess as to what Jordan's answer was. Especially considering he was wearing a Spidey T-shirt.
And though she may have never figured out what the "Oh song" or "old song" was, Taylor launched into another old fave, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together"
Also during her visit, Jordan had the pleasure of whipping Taylor at air hockey.
And let's all be triple-grateful that Jordan had such a memorable weekend, which also included a visit from "Spider-Man" the day before Swift was there. According to Jordan's Brave Page, the Facebook page devoted to his fight, the child had a rough reaction to his latest chemo treatment and was headed into the operating room for a lumbar puncture earlier today.
We wish him all the best—and perhaps he and Taylor can get back together in the near future.
