We see Prince William all the time in button-down shirts and khakis—sometimes even a tux!—but it's not every day we get to see the Duke of Cambridge wearing a wetsuit!

On Wednesday though, he was wearing just that at a British Sub-Aqua Club event held at London's Oasis Sports Centre. The reason for his visit? He was taking over Prince Charles' role as president of the organization!

Eugene Farrell, chairman of the BSAC, described Charles as being "quite buff" back in the 1970s, but William and Prince Harry's father was a bit confused by this terminology.

"Pa, you should be pleased," William told his dad, per the Telegraph, explaining that "buff" means fit and muscular. Charles, 65, reportedly raised his eyebrows bemusedly, telling guests, "I know my eldest will now demonstrate his buff credentials."

And that he did! William, 32, hopped in the water with several schoolkids—even challenging them in a snorkeling race! Clarence House Instagrammed an adorable clip showing Kate Middleton's hubby gamely racing the children to the pool's edge.

That wasn't all, though! William, who received a precious otter T-shirt from BSAC to give to Prince George, went on to reveal that his 11-month-old son isn't exactly a fan of the water—yet! "For the moment bath time is quite painful," the said, "but I imagine as he gets a little bit older, donning a mask and snorkel might calm him down."

It definitely will! Plus, with sporty parents like Wills and Kate, you know Georgie will be a natural athlete!
