UPDATE: NYPD tells E! News that Shia LaBeouf is being charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing. He is going to jail.
Oh, Shia LaBeouf.
The troubled actor has gotten himself into, well, trouble yet again tonight after he was escorted out of a broadway show in handcuffs and subsequently arrested, E! News confirms.
NYPD tells us that LaBeouf was inside Studio 54 to enjoy a performance of Cabaret where he was being disruptive and smoking cigarettes. "He was disruptive during act one and escorted out of Studio 54 at intermission," a Cabaret rep tells us.
Security proceeded to escort him out of the theater in handcuffs, and he continued being disorderly when police arrived. Shia was taken into custody and was transported to the mid-town north station with his charges pending.
Cast member Danny Burstein reportedly posted on Facebook, "Ladies and gentlemen, this is your places call for Act II. Also, to let you know, Shia LaBeouf has just been escorted from the building in handcuffs."
On Twitter, Tony nominee Benj Pasek noted, "Just saw Shia LaBeouf in handcuffs in tears surrounded by 6 police officers outside of CABARET the musical. Oh New York, u is a crazy bitch."
According to Broadway World, LaBeouf was in tears when taken away by police, and audience members on the seen described the actor as having been extremely disruptive throughout the entire first act of the show.
