Kate Upton celebrated her 22nd birthday in Chicago Tuesday—and E! News has the exclusive details!
The blond bombshell was meant to watch her boyfriend Justin Verlander pitch for the Detroit Tigers when the visiting team faced the Chicago White Sox at U.S. Cellular Field. However, the baseball game was postponed shortly after 6:00 p.m. due to the unrelenting rain. The weather delay worked out in Upton's favor, as Verlander was able to attend her birthday dinner at Chicago Cut Steakhouse at 7:00.
"Kate was with her boyfriend, sister and mother," a source tells E News. "Justin has been here before."
After dinner, the couple posed for a picture with the restaurant's managing partner, David Flom. "Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes!!" Upton tweeted Wednesday. "I had such an amazing day!!"
The two-time Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl will get the chance to see her man in action after all: Verlander will play Wednesday instead of teammate Drew Smyly, who was originally scheduled to pitch.
