James Maslow "Overwhelmed" by Perfect Dancing With the Stars Score, but Insists "We're Not Safe!"

Disney Night provided a happy ending for James Maslow!

The Big Time Rush hunk had a fairy tale outing on Dancing With the Stars' Monday night show, scoring Season 18's first perfect score with his contemporary dance to "Let It Go" from Frozen with his partner, Peta Murgatroyd. In fact, their routine was so impressive, notoriously icy head judge Len Goodman gushed that their dance "would melt the coldest heart...even mine!"

You'd think melting Len's heart and receiving 40 out of 40 points from the four judges (including guest judge Donny Osmond) would be a confidence-booster, but James exclusively told E! News after Monday's show that he and Peta are "not safe at any time." (Say whaaa?! There's a difference between humble and crazy, James.)

Though James told us he was "pretty psyched" to score the first perfect score of the season, he also admitted he's feeling "a little overwhelmed" by the accomplishment.

"We were hopeful, we were ambitious, but we were also the most nervous we've probably ever been before a performance because we were that ambitious," he said of their complex contemporary dance, which judge Bruno Tonioli described as "blockbuster."

Still, James isn't certain about his future on DWTS, especially after fellow teen heartthrob Cody Simpson was surprisingly eliminated on Monday night.

Peta called Cody's ousting "crazy," saying, "I thought he had so many fans."

But James explained that the young and vocal fanbases he and Cody had prior to joining the show doesn't necessarily guarantee their safety in the ballroom.

"It's not just the fanbase. It's the combination of the fanbase you have existing and how well you do in the competition with the scores," he said. "And then I really think there's a huge fanbase for Cody and I, who have younger fans, may not have known who we were at the beginning …we have to earn their votes and it's a reminder to me and to her, like, hey, we're not safe at any time."

Do you think James should be worried? Were you shocked to see Cody go? Sound off in the comments!
