At least in the case of Maggie Gyllenhaal, who debuted a fresh blond hair color recently on her social media.
"In Cannes with The Honourable Woman. I'm blonde btw...@mariesalon," she captioned a recent selfie photo on her WhoSay account.
The 36-year-old actress is famous for her cropped pixie cut and adorable facial features, and now we know that she can also pull off a bold platinum ‘do with ease, too.

While the talented star typically sports pretty brunette hair, she switched it up to a bright blond shade just in time for summer, and we're loving how effortlessly chic it looks.
The photo shows the star wearing oversize tortoiseshell sunglasses and a casual white tee, and added a rose-colored lip stain for a pop of pretty spring color to her fair complexion.
She shows off her freshly-dyed locks, which are slightly tousled for an intentionally messy effect, while lounging leisurely outdoors in a rustic setting.
