CBSAlicia Florrick is dealing with her grief on The Good Wife the help of her close friend: alcohol. In the preview for "A Material World," Alicia, red wine and Peter Florrick have a major heated confrontation over Will Gardner and infidelity. And we mean major.
Plus, Alicia and Diane meet over martinis (where was our invite) to discuss their fallen friend. He's gone, but definitely not forgotten.
"You're no Will Gardner, Diane. You'll only hurt yourself trying to be," David Lee tells Diane in the video above. "Well, then fasten your seat belts, we're heading for a lot of hurt," Diane responds with her trademark laugh.
The Good Wife returns with "A Material World" on Sunday, April 13. In the episode, Alicia and Diane consider merging Lockhart/Gardner and Florrick/Agos (!?), Alicia offers to help Finn with the Jeffrey Grant case and Jason O'Mara returns as Damian Boyle.
Will Gardner's death will unsurprisingly have a major impact on Alicia.
"Of course there's gonna be this hole in her life, but how she fills it and how she starts to question her choices—‘Why am I doing this? Why am I representing these a--holes?'—suddenly it's black and white. There's no gray area," series star Julianna Margulies said about her character during a recent screening. "A death, I think—anything important that happens in someone's life is a game-changer, and it makes you hopefully a better person for it. You'll see this tremendous loss for her, but the choices she makes from them on are incredibly careful, and they're mostly about her."
