Austin Mahone definitely learned a thing or two while touring with Taylor Swift during her Red tour.
"Being on the same stage as Taylor Swift has been amazing," the 17-year-old singer told E! News. "She puts on an amazing show. She showed me so many different things."
But it was this little bit of advice from the Grammy-winning songstress that seemed to resonate with Mahone the most.
"She told me to keep my family and my friends really close," he shared.
As for some of the other artists that Mahone is interested in working with in the future, the list is surprisingly small.
"I would love to collaborate with Drake, Chris Brown," he said. "Those are the main two that I really look up to."
And of course, when you're a teen heartthrob, rumors are bound to run rampant about your personal life.
Speculation surfaced recently that Mahone was "dating" Selena Gomez, with several tabloids claiming the young stars were a couple after being supposedly set up by none other than Swift. However, E! News quickly learned from multiple sources that just wasn't the case.
What's more, Mahone himself set the record straight about his relationship with Gomez, telling E! News, "We're just close friends. She's awesome. Very talented, sweet girl."
