You oughta know that Alanis Morissette is not very happy right now.
That's because the singer claims a former housekeeper made off with her pet dog, Circus, and is now suing the ex-employee.
According to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ, Morissette and husband Mario Treadway allege that Maria Garcia took the Chihuahua-pug mix as part of her severence after the couple fired Garcia in January.
The complaint states that Garcia contacted the couple's business manager via email to say she would like "ownership" of Circus.
Apparently, she had become attached to the pooch while Morissette and Treadway were on the road touring.
The couple claims in the lawsuit that they found Circus roaming the streets in 2011 and took the dog to an animal shelter. When nobody came to retrieve the canine, they brought the dog home.
Morissette and Teadway are asking for more than $25,000 as well as the return of the dog.
