He finally met the mother!
On Friday, the cast and crew of CBS's mega-hit, How I Met Your Mother, filmed their very last scene of the series. Although there were plenty of tears and tissues on set, stars Josh Radnor and Cristin Milioti ended the heartfelt comedy with the sure-to-be iconic moment that fans have been impatiently waiting for, since the show's debut in 2005.
Now, nine years, and countless of legendary stories later, the cast and creators of HIMYM, are have officially finished filming. Now it's time to sit back, relax, and wait for Ted to finally meet the live of his life on the series finale on March 31. To help pass the time until the highly anticipated introduction, we've gathered all of the sentimental messages and sneak peek pictures from our McLaren's Pub-loving gang.
Co-creator Craig Thomas took to Twitter, on Friday, to share a very symbolic picture that all HIMYM fans hold near and dear to their hearts. The yellow umbrella was one of the very first clues fans were given about Ted's initial encounter with the mother of his children—and we can't wait to see it on screen.
Series star, Radnor, also shared a sweet photo from his final scene of the series. For those who have been living under a rock, the Farhampton train stop is the exact place where Ted will meet The Mother. (And hopefully that's when we will learn her name!)

Shortly after, Radnor tweeted out a short but legendary message: "THE END #HIMYM"
Cobie Smulders also used social media to share her appreciation for HIMYM's nine season. "That's a wrap!" the actress posted to Instagram. "I feel so grateful to the men and women who made our set a wonderful place to go each day. Thank you. Carl was off tonight so we stepped in."

Alyson Hannigan, who has graced our small screens for the past nine years as Lily Aldrin, joked on Twitter that she and the rest of the gang spent a lot of time in McLaren's Pub. The actress revealed, "Just wrapped my final
#HIMYM Bar scenes. Wow, we drank A LOT!!!"
Lastly, Craig Thomas joked that the wrap party got a little too wild, and in true HIMYM fashion, the creator found a very familiar fruit on his bedside table:
How I Met Your Mother airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
