"Proposals usually end in ‘Will you marry me?'"
Even though he left out those four little words, Karev (Justin Chambers) was definitely serious when he kind-of-sort-of-definitely proposed to Jo (Camilla Luddington) in Grey's Anatomy's midseason finale, asking her, "We'll be together forever, right?"
But was his impromptu proposal a result of his issues with his father Jimmy (James Remar), who he had a major fight with just moments before? Jo seems to think so!
In an exclusive sneak peek from the ABC hit's midseason premiere, airing Thursday, Feb. 27, Jo answers Karev's proposal. Fans of the couple, prepare to feel a whole lot of emotions!
Yeah, these two definitely aren't walking down the aisle anytime soon!
"We can't get married because you're screwed up about your dad," Jo tells Karev in our exclusive clip above.
Karev? So not down with Jo bringing up his daddy issues, calling her out for having "cold feet." But no, her feet aren't cold as she finally admits the truth: she's not ready to get married. (The true victim in this scene? That poor vending machine!)
In the same episode, "Take It Back," all of the doctors will deal with the fallout from the events that went down at April's (Sarah Drew) wedding, including Jackson (Jesse Williams), who professed his love for her in the middle of the ceremony. Plus, Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) and Callie (Sara Ramirez) must decide if they want to be together or not and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) feels betrayed by Derek (Patrick Dempsey) after he goes back on a promise.
Grey's Anatomy returns Thursday, Feb. 27 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
