The blond beauty turned 40 on Feb. 10 and she opened up to Cosmopolitan about the milestone occasion and revealed some tidbits about the festivities.
"Well, recently everyone surprised me on the set of Mockingjay with a birthday cake! That was really fun," the actress, who portrays the ever-quirky District 12 escort Effie Trinket, dished to the magazine.
But the birthday girl wasn't the first one to try a slice of the delicious treat.
"And, of course, the first person to delve into my cake was Jennifer [Lawrence]. I will say she's a girl who likes to eat and I love that about her," Banks said about the 23-year-old starlet.
Banks couldn't offer up too many details about the third installment of the mega film franchise because she would "end up hurt" if she were to do so.
"I think the hardcore fans can expect exactly what both The Hunger Games and Catching Fire delivered, Mockingjay is going to be as faithful a rendition of Suzanne Collins' world and books and characters as we can put out!" Banks explained.
Banks has been spotted near the Mockingjay Atlanta set, most recently getting a soup to go at MetroFresh several days before her big day. The casual healthy restaurant is owned by Mitchell Anderson, who is known for his roles in Party of Five and Doogie Howser.
