John Mayer has revealed his romantic Valentine's Day plans, but there's one special person who's seemingly yet to be invited to the singer's dinner date: his girlfriend Katy Perry!

While speaking with E! News on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel for the UCLA Head and Neck Surgery Luminary Awards hosted by Wayne Newton in Los Angeles, Calif., the 36-year-old musician shared how he will be celebrating Feb. 14...and it's not what you'd expect.

"This is my Valentine right here, Dr. Gerald Berke, from the UCLA Head and Neck Center," the "Your Body Is a Wonderland" crooner said as his doc grinned proudly by his patient's side.

"He's my valentine. Wouldn't you say? The guy who gets you singing again," Mayer continued before adding, "So we're going to have a nice little night in Brentwood."

Mayer famously underwent surgery in October 2011 after learning he had a granuloma (an inflamed nodule or tumor-like mass of tissue) near his vocal cords just one month prior.

He was forced to take 10 months off for vocal rest, although he later revealed during a July concert in Milwaukee that he spent much of that time with girlfriend Katy Perry.

The handsome performer proclaimed his love for the "Fireworks" crooner in concert, dedicating his romantic jam "A Face to Call Home" to his ladylove while telling the audience how the pop star would help him communicate while he didn't have his voice.

"She would order for me...and she would tell people, 'It's nice to meet you, he says'...When I was in Montana...with bad service... she was so patient as to continue to get to know me and love me," he said before adding, "To Katy, who is my face to call home."

Safe to say Perry will have her own "nice little night" with her man even if the couple can't celebrate come Feb. 14.

Additional celebs at the event—where Mayer gave a special acoustic performance of his hits "Dear Marie" and "Daughters"—included Teri Hatcher, Ali Fedotowsky, Karina Smirnoff and Céline Dion, who also sang her famous single "My Heart Will Go On."
