Awards season has officially begun!

Before the Golden Globes kicked off last night, our E! News correspondents took a deeper look into the happenings of the red carpet, specifically when it came to the hottest celeb couples attending the show.

While Jesse Giddings and Catt Sadler gave their take on those star-studded lovebirds, Marie Claire editor Zanna Roberts Rassi delved into the big fashion trends.

And it's safe to say their jaws dropped when Jenna Dewan Tatum and Channing Tatum hit the carpet looking absolutely gorgeous, with the glowing new mom showing off her post-baby bod in a body-hugging Roberto Cavalli gown next to her hubby.

"How hot did they look together?," Catt said. "Our fans [are] obviously loving them as well because they're blowing us up on Twitter…and she just had a baby. Really? Not fair."

Meanwhile, although newlywed Kaley Cuoco Sweeting was sporting her diamond wedding sparkler at the event, she didn't bring her new husband Ryan Sweeting on the carpet to pose with her.

"I thought this would be the first red carpet we would see them at together," Jessie said.

Aside from the Sweetings, it seemed like just about everyone was also expecting Amber Heard and Johnny Depp to walk the carpet together as well.

Before the red carpet began, Jesse said there were a couple of stand-ins wearing tags with their names on it, posing on the carpet.

There's been a bit of chatter that Heard and Depp are officially a couple now, considering the pair showed up at a few different pre-Golden Globes events together.

Zanna soon joined in on the discussion, dishing on the big fashion moments of the night, saying how "stunning" Matthew McConaughey's wife Camila Alves looked.

"She's got the embellishment trend going on," Zanna said. "We're seeing lots of greens, blacks, embellishments."

Mila Kunis, Paula Patton and Zoe Saldana were all wearing embellishments on the carpet as well—embellishments, meaning anything that adorns your dress, like beads, feathers, etc.
