Watch: Tobey Maguire Is Proud of Leo DiCaprio

To say Tobey Maguire is impressed with close friend Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street is probably an understatement.

"I've seen the movie twice and I think it's a brilliant film and I think his performance in it is unbelievable," Maguire told E! News at the premiere of IFC's The Spoils of Babylon in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Jan. 7. "I'm so proud of him."

He added, "I just watched him work on this movie for years, and to watch him bring the film into existence...with Martin Scorsese at the helm, it's just phenomenal. His work is abolutely stellar in the movie."

Of course, Maguire isn't the only one who shares that sentiment.

After all, the movie has been nominated for two Golden Globes as well as four BAFTA Awards.

What's more, both DiCaprio and Scorsese were honored at the 2014 National Board of Review Awards gala on Tuesday, Jan. 7.

The actor and director, who have now worked together five times, received the Spotlight Award in recognition of what they've accomplished together.

In addition to The Wolf of Wall Street, DiCaprio has also starred in the Scorsese-directed flicks Gangs of New York, The Aviator, Shutter Island and 2006's The Departed, which won the Oscar for Best Picture.
