It looks as if rest and recovery did Josh Brolin some good.
The 45-year-old actor was out doing a little shopping in Los Angeles yesterday, less than four weeks after he reportedly checked into rehab in Northern California.
Weeks before entering treatment he was caught on video engaging in an allegedly drunken bar fight, after which he told TMZ, "It won't be happening again."
Authorities were not involved, but if they had it wouldn't have been Brolin's first substance-fueled run-in with the law—this year. He was arrested for public intoxication on the night of Jan. 1 and was booked and released with no further action pending.
According to Us Weekly, which was first to report that he was in treatment last month, Brolin was also spotted a few days ago in London catching a performance of the Tom Hiddleston-starring Coriolanus in the West End.
Brolin, whose starring credits include W., No Country for Old Men and Gangster Squad, will be back on the big screen Jan. 31 in the drama Labor Day opposite Kate Winslet. The British actress, who ironically just gave birth to her third child, is nominated for a Golden Globe for her role as a widowed single mom who slowly recovers her will to live after a wounded convict, played by Brolin, at first demands their help—and then is ultimately welcomed to stick around forever.
Here's to a fresh start for Brolin in real life as well.
