You know how you've been refusing to buy a Wii U because you don't see the need to replace your Wii? Well, it's inevitable now, because the quest to save Hyrule is never done.

Nintendo announced today that a new Zelda title is coming at our faces soon, and it's truly a Christmas miracle. Take that, 34th street!

Hyrule Warriors (tentative title) is the product of Nintendo partnering up with Dynasty Warriors publisher Tecmo Koei to make an action game that is less about Link going on a quest to yet again save Zelda and more about fighting hordes of classic Zelda monsters in order to win battles and take over territories. Bokoblins and Lizalfos are here to party, and we bet our last bottled fairy that a Darknut will pop up, too.

In the trailer (below), Link uses his sword in very new and bitchin' ways, plus there are bombs and what appears to be a magical staff. We also spot other knights giving him a hand against a giant beast. It looks badass, but we still have a while to wait for it. Hyrule Warriors is headed to Wii U sometime in 2014.

For those waiting for a traditional follow-up to Skyward Sword, president Satoru Iwata stressed that this title is not taking the place of a new Zelda adventure game.

Also headed to Wii U in 2014 are new titles for Donkey Kong, Dr. Luigi and NES Remix. Plus, Mario Kart 8 is here! Or at least the trailer is (watch below). Personally, we don't think anything will beat Mario Kart for N64, but we're excited for the new one regardless.

If you're feeling uneasy about a Zelda game that is strictly fighting and no storyline, just be thankful Nintendo didn't make a game called Zelda: All Water Levels.

Very exciting things coming from Nintendo in 2014, eh? To sum up:
