Steve Martin is setting the record straight—well, kinda.

The funny actor took to Twitter to deny that he and newly single Khloé Kardashian are anything more than friends. That may confuse some because who was saying they were dating in the first place?!

Answer: Nobody. Well, except Steve Martin. Nonetheless, his confirmation was amusing because the comedian was clearly poking fun at recent media reports revolving around the E! star and a certain pro baseball player.

"Despite rumors, Khloé Kardashian and I are 'just friends,'" Martin joked on Twitter today. "Be sure to check out my new album, 'Just Friends with Khloé Kardashian.'"

He went on to write, "Now trying to downplay the Khloé/Stevé thing with trusting wife...Khloé just called asking what printer to buy. Further proof that we are 'just friends'...Uh oh. Trusting wife online buying replacement cartridges for the same printer I recommended to Khloé."

(Steve Martin has been married to Anne Stringfield since 2007.)

Regardless of Martin's attempt to slam claims that he made up, Khloé was in the center of relationship rumors recently.

Stories that Lamar Odom's ex was dating Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp popped up just minutes after she filed for divorce from her NBA husband on Friday, after photographs of the two working out that day at the same gym surfaced. But that wasn't it. Kemp apparently posted a photo of Kris Jenner's Christmas tree on Instagram which sent the speculation into overdrive.

However, sources denied the reports, telling E! News, "She's hurt. She is in absolutely no frame of mind for dating right now."

That includes Kemp and Martin.
