Matt Lauer is poking fun at his wild wine-loving Today show pals Kathy Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb.

During his recent visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Lauer and Ellen DeGeneres channeled their inner Kathy Lee and Hoda during a hilarious skit.

"We thought we would be the fourth hour of the Today show, play Kathy Lee and Hoda," DeGeneres said to the audience. "And we are going to read an actual transcript and recreate that fourth hour."

"Something they've actually said on the air?" Lauer asked. "Actual transcript," DeGeneres replied.

The duo proceeded to sit behind a replica news anchor desk before putting on wigs and fake nails. "Do I get help with the wig?" Lauer, who played Kotb, asked, to which DeGeneres responded, "You know how to do it Matt. Don't act like you've never put a wig on."

"Hoda actually has a slightly heavier beard than I do," Lauer joked, adding, "I'll pay for that when I go home."

They went on to read a transcript from a Today show episode in which Gifford and Kotb read off the sexiest languages in the word. "I like the British, I like Southern," Lauer quipped while playing Kotb. "I like the Southern. There's something a Southern."

After the skit, Lauer cracked, "I think I saw that show. That's not out of the ordinary."
