Who knew Karl Lagerfeld was such a Miley Cyrus fan?

Well, the famed fashion icon certainly proved to be just that when he posed for pics at the Museum of Modern Art 2013 Film Benefit in New York City holding up the "Wrecking Ball" singer's new album Bangerz on Tuesday, Nov. 5

No word on what prompted Lagerfeld to display the CD, but Cyrus obviously appreciates it, seeing how she is currently using this photo as her Twitter profile pic.

Not that she really needs it, mind you. After all, Bangerz did debut at No. 1 on iTunes and Billboard's Top 200 when it was released on Oct. 8. The songstress sold over 270,000 albums and the album hit the top spot on iTunes in 70 countries, including Canada, Australia, Ireland and the U.K.

But then again, every little bit of promotion helps, right?

Especially seeing how Cyrus formally announced on Wednesday the dates for her highly anticipated tour, which kicks off on Valentine's Day 2014, in Vancouver, B.C.

"Literally, my whole life is revolving around this tour right now," the 20-year-old pop star told Ryan Seacrest on his morning radio show today. "Diane Martel and I, we're putting together this tour that's going to be insane."

No doubt Lagerfeld will be buying a ticket.
