Bethenny Frankel Owes Omarosa $10,000: Fine, I Did Slam You on The View

Be careful what you bet on, Bethenny Frankel.

Because if it involves taking on Omarosa Manigault, you're gonna lose if Donald Trump isn't there to do some firing.

In an appearance on Bethenny that aired today, the Apprentice villain innocently mentioned how her host had once slammed her on The View, saying that, compared to Omarosa, she had "a real career."

"I thought we were friends and it really hurt my feelings," Omarosa, who parlayed being a contestant on the first-ever season of The Apprentice into reality-TV notoriety and is now an assistant pastor in Los Angeles, said.

"First of all, we knew each other from The Apprentice, we had never had dinner, we weren't friends," Bethenny, who appeared on Martha Stewart's short-lived version of the show, recalled.

"I thought we were friends," Omarosa insisted. When you were on Martha Stewart's Apprentice, you contacted me, maybe reaching out, maybe you were just trying to use me to get information—and you can call that what you want...To go on The View and badmouth me to my friend [Sherri Shepherd], that's bad form, Bethenny."

"If you're going to talk about something that happened, let's get the facts straight," the former Real Housewife said, trying to remember her exact words.

"You never said, 'I have a real career'? Omarosa said skeptically. "I read the quote, you said, 'I have a real career.'"

"Can we just get the quotes?! I will give you $10,000 if I said 'I have a real career,'" Bethenny promised.

"I'll watch you pull it up!" her guest said excitedly, promising to use the money to minister to folks on skid row. "This has turned out to be a great day!"

Bethenny mused, "I think I said, 'No, actually, I have a brand, I have two New York Times best-sellers, I have a cocktail…Omarosa used [her reputation] for being infamous...'"

Well, sure enough, after the commercial break, a producer handed Bethenny a smart phone and she pulled up a rundown of her appearance on The View.

"'I think she's an interesting example,'" Bethenny began reading, "'because she used her time on a reality show...'

"I said 'I have a real career', I owe you $10,000," she admitted, her eyes never leaving the screen.

"It's different for you and I," Omarosa continued after Bethenny had eaten her serving of crow. "I am an African-American woman. You get to walk around and be mediocre and you still get rewarded with things. We have to be exceptional to get anything in this business."

But Bethenny would only concede that Omarosa was $10,000 richer, saying, "I don't think you have a brand.

"You make cupcakes, I worked in the White House," Omarosa fired back. "Get a grip...I am a smart businesswoman who celebrates being smart and there is a brand in being smart."

"Your brand is smart?" Frankel wondered. "That's in your business plan?"

"Absolutely," Omarosa said. "I have an accomplished career. I teach young people...I hope they don't get discouraged from watching two women who have an opportunity to put things behind us. We have a chance to turn this thing around."

"No, we don't," her host said flatly.

After the interview aired, Omarosa retweeted some of the nicer comments from fans about the way she handled the chat on her end.

Bethenny tweeted yesterday after they taped: "Wow. Tomorrow with Omarosa on @Bethenny is next level.... I haven't experienced anything like it since Real Housewives...I like talking to controversial people. I'm intrigued by human behavior. More interesting than 'celeb gossip.'"
