Joe Jonas is speaking out for the first time following the Jonas Brothers' "rift" that led to their canceled tour.

"I'm not going to talk about that right now," Joe told People at the gala opening of the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills on Thursday, Oct. 17.

And while he did not go into much detail about the drama with the band, or the reason behind deleting the group's Twitter account, he did offer a hint about what types of projects he might be pursuing.

"I think acting would be fun," the 24-year-old told the mag. "I would like to get into that."

He confirmed that "he's working as a producer," but didn't elaborate about the musicians.

Joe hit the red carpet solo, looking sharp and dashing in a classic black tuxedo.

He was also spotted at the event reuniting and chatting with ex-girlfriend Camilla Belle. After they parted ways, Joe took a seat at his table next to Lori Loughlin.

Joe, Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas, who shot to fame after forming their boy band in 2005, canceled their upcoming tour two days before it was set to kick off in Pennsylvania, E! News confirmed on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
