Miley Cyrus' antics and outfits may be raising eyebrows, but she's found a fan in Britney Spears. During a radio interview with London's 95-106 Capital FM (airing Sunday, Oct. 20), host Max asked Spears about her newfound friendship with her "Bangerz (SMS)" collaborator.

"My mom and her mom know each other," said Spears, who hails from Louisiana but now resides in California. "She's a girl's girl and she gets the whole Southern thing." Their connection doesn't end there, as the two also share a manager, Larry Rudolph. "It's just really worked out," she explained.

"I'm a huge fan of hers," the 31-year-old princess of pop added. "I think she's brilliant right now."

Spears said she's flattered by Cyrus' public praise. "She has so much energy and she's on fire, so for her to even say anything about me is just really cool," the mom of two shared.

During Cyrus' MTV documentary special, Miley: The Movement, she explained why it was important to work with Spears on her fourth album, Bangerz. "I always say I only want one bitch on my record, and that's Britney, bitch," said the Tennessee native.

The "We Can't Stop" singer recognized that she and Spears have made similarly controversial career decisions over the years. Even so, both musicians have amassed a loyal fan base. "The way that I am about Britney, that's the way a lot of people are about me," Cyrus said. "She was my first record. I was a lot of people's first album. First idol. I'll be a diehard fan for Britney, always."

Ironically, Spears wasn't the first choice when Cyrus recorded "Bangerz (SMS)" earlier this year. "The first name that we tossed around was Gwen Stefani," songwriter Sean Garrett recently told MTV. "We were talking about Gwen because you know Gwen got that edge too, but that's how God works."

Cyrus and Garrett also considered asking Nicki Minaj to lend her talents. "That would've been nuts too, but I think that's how God works," Garrett said. "This was absolutely the right one."
