It looks like Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon's kids got their parents' good looks and talent!
On Saturday, Oct. 12, Phillippe Instagrammed a picture of daughter Ava's impressive drawing and son Deacon's perfect math test score, writing, "A's art/D's test Proud dad…"
Phillippe even changed his Twitter cover photo to the image of a blue eye drawn by his 14-year-old daughter. The Damages star and Witherspoon, who divorced after seven years of marriage in 2006, amicably co-parent Ava and their 9-year-old son Deacon. Phillippe also has a 2-year-old daughter, Kailani, with ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp, and Witherspoon has a 1-year-old son, Tennessee, with husband Jim Toth.
And even these kids are surrounded by the glitz and glam of Hollywood, their parents make sure they're not living in a bubble. "That's been a core element of our parenting both Reese and I with the kids, keeping them aware," Phillippe told E! News earlier this year. "Neither of us grew up particularly privileged. Our kids are now, so it's important to keep them mindful and I've got to say we've done that job."
And if Ava and Deacon decided to follow the career paths of mom and dad, Phillippe wouldn't exactly encourage it. "I think there's good and bad people in each and every occupation," he said. "If they're tough enough to handle all that would go along with it, then you know...And I've often said and I don't mean to dismiss or demean our industry, but I'd like to see them do something a little more meaningful or important. If I had the education and what they have offered to them as kids, I may have gone a different way."
Clearly the Phillippes value a good education, and it's paying off!
