'Tis the season for pumpkin picking.
Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards were all smiles as they took Sheen's twin boys and Richards' adopted daughter out for a day of fun at Underwood Farms in Moorpark, Calif. Saturday.
Toting 2-year-old Eloise on her hip, with 3-year-old Max and Bob staying close to their dad, Richards and Sheen appeared to be enjoying the family day out, with the Twisted star wearing a casual T-shirt, jeans and boots.
Although the ex-couple called it quits back in 2006, Richards said her relationship with the Anger Management star has been better than ever, telling HuffPost Live, "In the last few years, things have gotten really great with us. We're very close and we're good friends, which is great because it's great for our kids."
The actress went on to say Sheen's split with his ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, helped bring them closer together.
"This is awful to say, but it's true. When his third marriage started to fall apart, he and I started to become friendly," Richards continued.
"From day one, I've always wanted to keep the kids a priority and suck it up for them, but it takes two people to do that. He sees the benefit, too, that when we get along, it's good for the kids. It's not fair to them to be around parents who can't stand each other.
Richards was granted temporary custody of Bob and Max earlier this year, while Mueller continued to seek treatment for her addiction to prescription drugs.
The actress is also mom to her and Sheen's two daughters, Sam, 9, and Lola, 8.
