Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears have a lot in common: They're both from the South, they both got their start on Disney, they're both hugely famous pop stars and they're both no strangers to controversy.
So before Miley twerked up a storm onstage at the 2013 VMAs, she conferred with Brit, an MTV awards show veteran.
"Everyone takes the VMAs so serious," she tells Brit in a trailer for Miley: The Movement, her upcoming MTV documentary.
"I just wanna come out and shoot a hot dog gun," she adds jokingly, sending Britney into a fit of giggles. "I just wanna have fun!"
She also wants people to know the Miley we're seeing now is the real deal. "I was born to become who I am like right now," she says. "I'm at a point in my career where I can be exactly who I wanna be, what I wanna be."
"You're always gonna make people talk," she adds. "You might as well make them talk for like two weeks rather than two seconds."
Smart girl. Miley: The Movement premieres Oct. 2 at 10 p.m. ET on MTV.
