Still not over the Red Wedding episode of Game of Thrones? It's OK, this is a safe space to talk about the pain of losing fictional characters in such a brutal way. Maybe to help speed along the healing process, you can hear from Michelle Fairley and Richard Madden (R.I.P. Cat and Robb!) about filming the tragic scene and the explosive reaction from fans.

Or better yet, our own Kristin Dos Santos grilled the man who is responsible for the Red Wedding: author George R.R. Martin. But it wasn't just a grill session, she also got season four spoilers:

Watch: George RR Martin at Comic-Con

"We have a big battle that the wonderful Neil Marshall that did the Battle of Blackwater back to direct, that's very exciting for me," Martin spills. "We have another Royal Wedding, this one is not red; this one is a different color. We have the introduction of some great new characters. We finally introduce one of the most popular characters from the books: Prince Oberon Martell. The Red Viper of Dorne will be introduced for the first time and there will be some other new characters that I think the fans will like. The Wildlings are continuing to move toward the wall. We'll see many of the characters, we'll see what happens to Tyrion and Cersei and Jaime and all of the remaining Starks, the few that are left and hopefully it will be another great season."

Martin was obviously ready for the fan backlash, having received the same reaction when he published Storm of Swords 13 years ago. But there was one thing he wasn't prepared for when the episode aired.

"I knew that we would get an intense reaction and I knew that since it was television and everything would be magnified that there would be many more people," he said. "The thing that did startle me that I did not expect was the fact that the book readers, so many book readers not just one or two but evidently hundreds, set up cameras to capture the grief, shock and surprise that their loved one, their mothers and brothers and wives and husbands and children had when they watched the Red Wedding. You can go on YouTube and say Red Wedding reaction videos and you could be watching for a day and half."
