Ali Fedotowsky and her boyfriend Kevin Manno make an adorable couple.
And it's good to know they didn't jump into their romance. They were introduced through a producer on the former Bachelorette star's travel show, 1st Look.
"We just met and we became friends," Manno, 30, told me last night at the L.A. premiere of Blue Jasmine, Woody Allen's new movie that includes a cameo by Fedotowsky, 28. "We've been friends for a long time and then one thing led to the next."
They were first spotted having a cozy lunch together in L.A. in May and then on a Mexican vacation.
But it was last night that they decided to make their red carpet debut. "This is such a cool moment in my life and for us together, so this just made so much sense," Fedotowsky said.
They weren't dating just yet when Allen asked Fedotowsky to appear in Blue Jasmine as a personal trainer for a New York society couple (Cate Blanchett and Alec Baldwin) who eventually lose all their money because of the husband's crooked business deals.
"We were friends when she got the call," said Manno, who hosts Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition on Lifetime. "I thought she was lying."
Fedotowsky still doesn't know why Allen offered her the part.
"I just wanted to be a fly on the wall," she said about shooting her scene in the Hamptons. "I didn't want anyone to notice me…I just wanted to go and quietly do my thing and leave."
Fedotowsky said Blanchett and Baldwin couldn't have been friendlier.
"She was so nice," she said. "She was giving me tips, and Alec was really nice, asking me where I was from. They were just really cool people."
Perhaps Ali will be getting a call from Martin Scorsese next?
Also at the premiere last night at the AMPAS Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills were Blanchett and costars Bobby Canavale, Peter Sarsgaaard and Andrew Dice Clay as well as Kaley Cuoco, Rose Byrne, Ashley Jones and Tom Green.
